1. Mount Rainier National Park
It is a pretty unique thing that Pierce County has its own national park! We kind of feel like including the park is “cheating” for the purpose of this list, but the fact of the matter is that this massive 369-square-mile park is absolutely packed with dreamy views of Mount Rainier and its quintessentially Pacific Northwest surroundings.
2. Crystal Mountain Summit
Crystal Mountain is in East Pierce County, and this picturesque mountain is home to the largest ski resort in Washington. At the summit of the mountain, you’ll find 360-degree, panoramic views.
3. Tehaleh in Bonney Lake
Tehaleh is a sprawling community in Bonney Lake. This neighborhood not only features several planned communities, but you’ll also discover 1,800 acres of open space and 15 miles of trails. To sweeten the deal even more, there are many places in Tehaleh where you can find a view of Mount Rainier that will make you do a double take. The mountain looks huge from here!
4. Titlow Beach
Located on the west side of Tacoma, Titlow Beach is a top destination for jaw droppingly beautiful views. Not only are there water views here, but since this beach is west-facing, you can count on dramatic sunsets as well. Views of the majestic Narrows Bridge makes this spot even more perfect for taking incredible photos at.
5. Chambers Bay
Located in University Place, the iconic Chambers Bay is well-known for its sweeping water views. And, just like Titlow Beach, this west-facing park and golf course shows off magical sunrises.
6. Browns Point Lighthouse Park
Browns Point is a neighborhood in Northeast Tacoma, and Browns Point Lighthouse Park is located right on the tip of the point. Expansive views stretch on from here, offering a unique perspective of Commencement Bay.
7. The Anderson Island - Steilacoom Ferry
This small ferry runs between Steilcoom and Anderson Island. Whether you’re taking a photo of the ferry from land or you’re actually on the ferry and photographing the water and nearby islands, this ferry’s location is ideal for capturing the beauty of the Puget Sound.
8. Chihuly Bridge of Glass
Most of the views we’ve talked about so far have been focused on natural views, but we are also fortunate to have some truly unique and captivating public art in Pierce County as well. One of the most famous places is the Chihuly Bridge of Glass, and with good reason. This pedestrian bridge not only serves a practical purpose (it connects Pacific Ave to the Thea Foss Waterway and the Museum of Glass), but it’s also a work of art featuring thousands of glass creations.
