Local News: Tacoma Food Co-op Finds a Home!

Attention fans of local, fresh, natural and organic foods in Tacoma! Tacoma’s long awaited food co-op has signed an agreement with John Loesch of The Neighborhood Market on 6th & Junett.

The Co-Op was formed by a group of Tacoma residents in 2006 and has grown to more than 500 members. In 2009 they formed a board, and this latest step brings their vision of an affordable urban grocery that provides local organic and natural foods.

“It’s on a two-year deal to get them on their feet,” Loesch said. He’ll stay involved during that time, offering his decades of expertise as a grocer to get the co-op store on a sustainable path.” – Tacoma News Tribune
