Professional Headshot of Kevin Nelson

Kevin Nelson obtained his real estate license in 2019 while employed in law enforcement. In his typical fashion of having a plan he thought ahead to pursue his passion of real estate upon his retirement in 2023.

Kevin’s first thought as a Broker was to recognize the common thread many of us share; “A Home is Worth Fighting For”. Television and movies depict people fighting for all its worth to purchase a home or keep from losing a home, or people starting from nothing to purchase and build long lasting financial stability through their first real estate purchase. As art depicts life, Kevin thinks about the real-life experience of his clients. Kevin’s grandparents purchased their home in that late 60’s before Kevin was born. As a young kid, Kevin overheard his grandparents discuss struggles to keep the home they desperately worked buy. Kevin, recognized the value of owning a home and became a young home owner himself. He assisted his grandparents until their passings and purchased his childhood which he still owns today after 55 years in the family. If that resonates at all, it’s because of that common thread you share with Kevin.

Kevin feels blessed to have made it through the challenge to proudly call himself a homeowner. Kevin knows the modest accomplishments would not be without supportive family, friends and now clients who trusted and believed in him along the way. Kevin believes the greatest compliment to anyone in the real estate industry is for someone to refer friends and family: and clients who trust you as their REALTOR.

Q: As a client what can you expect working with You?

A:
My focus is you. Buying a home is the biggest investment people usually make in their lives. Open communication, honesty and truthful direction about your best interests are my main focus/job. Each client will understand the process differently. My job is to break down the process in a way that eases my clients stress while fighting and advocating for every dollar and every need. Buying a home and the stress from the investment are often a once in a lifetime experience. During the home buying process clients will be treated as if they are my own family.

Clients, buyer and seller, process the home transaction differently. In some cases, the decision to buy or sell takes years, months and on some rare occasions days. My goal is to maintain awareness for the dynamics each client will experience. I think a little social awareness and common sense can go a long way. My job is to prioritize my client’s needs, work quickly to get things done and remain available for client’s questions and concerns. “A home is worth fighting for”. I feel if the client knows you’re in the trenches with them it will minimize a client’s stress.

Background and Experience

From a very young age, Kevin Nelson understood the value of owning a home and creating generational wealth. He became a real estate agent to help others do the same, being a part of their journey to achieve their dreams and goals. Being a real estate investor first, he got his real estate license in 2018 while working for Seattle Police, ending a 24 year law enforcement career as a lieutenant. Having received his CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental) certification, gives him the education and background to help you find a secure location and assist in innovative ideas to add security.

Interests

Kevin enjoys going on runs with his talking husky, Astra. If he takes too long to get ready, she is sure to let him know. He also enjoys camping adventures with his family and the occasional Jeep event his fiancé drags him to (he pretends to hate them, but shhh, don’t tell his fiancé!).

Motto

Kevin’s motto in life has always been “luck is for the prepared.” You can be the luckiest person on earth but if you’re not prepared, you won’t be able to embrace opportunities. Kevin wants to help you be prepared to embrace your opportunities! Sometimes buying a home can feel like a very daunting process but he is there to walk you through every step of the way.
